Martin Lydon was found dead last Sunday morning in his little home on the South side, death resulting probably from the feebleness of old age. The funeral occurred Wednesday morning at the church of the Assumption and the remains were taken to Lourdes for interment.

Martin Lydon was born in Galway, Ireland in 1812, and died at his home in Cresco, Sunday, Dec. 11, 1904, aged 92 years. When he was 35 years of age be came to the United States, and resided at Washington, D. C., for some time. In 1866 he came to Howard county and settled on a farm near Lourdes. He is survived by four sons, Thomas of Cresco, John J. of Lourdes, Patrick of Larimore, N. D., and Martin, who has but recently returned to Cresco from the west. His wife died about 32 years ago.
