J. D. Hayes' family have been informed of the death of Col. Willis Poe Harlow, son of Isaiah and Matilda Harlow, aged 43 years, in a hospital at Denver, Colorado, after undergoing an operation for appendecitis{sic}. The Isaiah Harlow family’s former home was at Riceville, Iowa. He moved from there to Sacto, Cal. At the time of his death of Col. Harlow was president of the Yaqua Copper Mining Co., Yaqua, Arazona{sic}, with headquarters at New York City. He leavs{sic} a wife and little son Carl Poe, besides mother, brothers and a sister in California.
Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave shows he was born in 1852 and died Dec. 6, 1904. He is buried in Denver, CO.
