OBITUARY.
WOODS.
Thomas Woods, son of Patrick and Anna Woods, was born November 16 1872, and died December 6. 1904, at the home of his father in Cresco, aged 32 years and 20 days. In 1897 he was married to Maggie Finegan, who died January 27, 1900, leaving a little daughter, Mary Wilma, now aged five years. In March 1903, he had a severe attack of pneumonia which was followed by tuberculosis, against which he made a gallant but ineffectual fight. His was the first death in a family of ten children.
The funeral occurred Thursday afternoon from the Church of the Assumption and the loved form was followed to St. Joseph’s cemetery by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends, including a large number of the members of Cresco Camp W. O W., to which deceased belonged. The interment was beside his wife in their family lot. The sad lot of carrying their brother to his last resting place fell to his six brothers, R. J., J. M., Frank, James, William and Charles, who with the aged father, three sisters and a little orphan daughter are left to mourn the loss of one who always honest, upright and honorable and a credit to the church and his family. With many others, the PLAIN DEALER extends its sincere sympathy to those bereaved

Transcriber’s Note: Calvary Cresco Cemetery shows his wife is buried there. He isn’t listed there but there is an unknown Woods grave near hers.
