Funeral services for Kathleen Thraenert were held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 24 at the Assumption Worship Center in Cresco. Rev. Henry W. Charipar officiated. Interment was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in rural Elma. The pall was placed by Connie Poe, Seth Poe, Becky Poe, and Tom Thraenert. Pall bearers were: Joe Thraenert, Rick Sadler, Tom Thraenert, Seth Poe, Dale Poe and Ronald Venz. Conway Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Kathleen, 64, died Friday, October 20, 2000 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Elma.
Kathleen Vincentia Thraenert was born on April 12, 1936, near Lourdes, rural Elma, the daughter of William Joseph and Margaret Mary (Bilek) Thraenert. She was a special needs person and lived at home all of her life. She and her mother entered Colonial Manor in 1979 where she continued to live after her mother’s death.
She is survived by one sister: Rita Guthart of Green; and one brother: Vincent Thraenert of Cresco.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, William R. Thraenert.
