Here is what I know and I think I have passed on to Dale.

Robert Garside came to the US From England to make a better life. His Son Thomas followed and they met in Cincinati, Ohio and then moved on to the area surrounding New London to make a home for the rest of the family.

Prior to 1850, Robert sent for his family, but while they were enroute he suffered a sunstroke while building a home for his family and died. His son Thomas buried him and waited for the rest of the family.

We would like to find some newspaper record of this or any other incident involving this family.

Parts of this family lived in the area at least through 1950.
