From the Henry County Court House:

Fred Hampton married Miss Mary Dobozy on April 24, 1900 at the home of Wm. A. Wilson of Henry County, IA;
Married by H.[?]C. Barker, J. P.
[Marriage Book H, Page 195]

From Marriage Applications, Page 404, Register 37:
Affidavit of Acquaintance by O. N.[W?] Knight. He swore that Fred was over 21 and Mary was over 18. License 2234; Dated 24 April 1900.

Have you checked the 1880 census at familysearch.org? There is a Hampton family living in Jefferson County, IA that may be your relation.
