WW I enlistments/ Marriage Records

I'm looking for information about Fred Edward HAMPTON who registered for the WW I draft. He enrolled in Bavaria, Jefferson Co. IA. He stated he was born 1878 in Jefferson Co. and was a Brakeman for the railroad.

I found a Fred Hampton, (b) 1878, age 22 living in Henry Co. IA. Wife, Mary (maiden name unknown). 1900 Henry Co. census indicates they'd been married only a few months (date blurred on census) Are there marriage records in Henry Co. that might clarify who this Fred Hampton is?

Draft registration for Fred Edward Hampton said he was 39 yrs. old but did not give name of a wife (1917-1918). He posted "Pearl Brown, friend" in space for relative. Is Fred Edward the same person as Edward Hampton?

Any info about Fred Edward HAMPTON appreciated.
