According to the tombstone found at the Wilcox Cemetery for George Walworth and his wife Philura (parents of the later George Walworth, early settler and pioneer legislator of Jones County, Iowa) they came from Canaan, New Hampshire, George Senior born in 1779 and died while on a visit to his family in Jones County, March 21, 1847. His wife had died earlier on September 27, 1846, she had been born in N.H. in 1789. You might want to check these dates in Illinois and see if a probate is available from Alton, Illinois to see if anything is mentioned of the people you are looking for, but it appears this guy came along quite awhile after these people.
