My great grandfather had a brother whose name was Joseph Kapp. When their parents died along with 4 siblings in the great Rockdale Flood in July 1876, three years later their uncle had him placed at St Mary's Orphan home and declared to the courts he was dead. Joseph died at that orphanage at the age of 10 after being kicked in the head by a horse. I am trying to find if there were any photographs of the orphans. My mother has no pictures of that family due to the flood.
