I want to acknowledge that My brother Francis W. Kautman and I were residents of St. Mary's Orphan Home from early 1943 until May of 1945. I have many good memories of St. Marys' including a few of the sisters who were in charge of us and the priest (Father Theobald) and off hand I can't remember the other younger priest. However I remember Sister Tarsilla, 3rd and 4th grade teacher, Str. Anita and Str. Ignitus, our in-house counselor Str. Margaret Mary Alaquoque, and the names of many of the other children who resided at St. Mary's during that time.
