Thank you so much. I am sure most of these references are part of my family. As usual, a few mysteries. Example: the father of George Wilde is wrong in the obituary. His name is John Wilde. All the rest of the information I have seen elsewhere, including the dates of coming to US etc. They are on the Dubuque census for 1850 living in one house with James Wilde, George's brother, living next door. Also, whether the Mary Wild of the poor house reference was the widow of James Wilde? The age is correct as Mary C. Camp married James Wilde in Dubuque in 1847 at the age of 22.
In your notes from the newspapers, do you have any references to the Olney family? Mary Eugenia Wilde married Henry Ceylon Olney in Dubuque about 1873-5. They moved to Colorado in 1880 after their 3rd child was born, Henry W. Olney. The previous 2 had died in infancy.
