DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Herbert M. Huberty, 82, of Dyersville, died Thursday, April 1, 1999, at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Dyersville, where military rites will be accorded by the Dyersville American Legion Post 137. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish rosary at 7 p.m. and a Dyersville American Legion Post 137 service at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Huberty was an owner and operator of Huberty Bottling Works, Dyersville, for more than 40 years, and he later was employed by Payless Foods, Dyersville.

He was born on April 9, 1916, in Dyersville, son of George and Mayme (Fischbach) Huberty. He married Rosemary Cunningham on Jan. 28, 1937, in St. Francis Xavier Church, Dyersville; she died in 1996.

He was a member of the Dyersville American Legion Post 137 and a former member of the Dyersville Fire Department and Dyersville Commercial Club.

Surviving are two sons, Ron (Donna) Huberty, of Dyersville, and Mike Huberty, of Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Shelly (Kevin) Kosgard, of Sioux City, Carmen (Bradley) Allyn, of Shellsburg, Anthony (Lisa) Huberty, of Gilbert, Ariz., Holly (David) Hartley, of Cedar Falls, and Aaron Huberty (and his fiancee, Amy Witte), of Gilbert; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ed (Lois) Huberty, of Dyersville.
