DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Mary Luella Hoeger, 51, of Dyersville, died Monday, Oct. 14, 1996, as the result of injuries sustained in an accident at a home construction site.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish rosary at 8 p.m. today and a parish scripture service at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

She was born on June 12, 1945, in Dyersville, daughter of Leo and Marie (Jaeger) Gudenkauf. She married Jerome Hoeger on Feb. 12, 1966, in Ryan. Together they farmed north of Dyersville.

She was a homemaker and a member of the All Star County Dance Club, Beckman Booster Club and bowled in the Women's Tuesday League.

Surviving are her husband, Jerome; two daughters, Connie (Dan) Carlson, of Acworth, Ga., and Tracy (Bill) Jennings, of Ames; three sons, Steve Hoeger, Terry Hoeger (and his fiancee, Rochelle Theisen), and Kurt Hoeger, all of Dyersville; a grandchild, Trevor Carlson; two brothers, Vernon (JoAnn) Gudenkauf, of Masonville, and Richard (Sharon) Gudenkauf, of Dyersville; five sisters, Kathleen (Dick) Hogan, of Delhi, Lois (Omer) Fortman, of Manchester, Virginia (Phil) Kelchen, of Monticello, Jeanette (Roger) Steffen, of Luxemburg, and Janet (Bob) Pottebaum, of Masonville.
