The Boardman twp. 1852 census was taken "before August 4, 1852". The transcription notes refer to the Sperry twp. 1852 census:
http://sharylscabin.com/Clayton/census/1852boardman.htm
The Sperry twp. transcription notes: "Filed August 4, 1852"

To the best of my knowledge, the images from which the census was transcribed do not have the specific dates that the Clayton county enumerator visited the residences.
I looked at some of the other Iowa county 1852 census transcriptions that do have dates (refer to the Iowa Census IAGenWeb Special Project:
http://iagenweb.org/census/ - there may be more info. there) Those I browsed have enumeration dates in July 1852 - examples:Henry county: "Enumeration Date: ending July 5, 1852"
Louisa county: "Filed July 2nd, 1852" (like Clayton, Louisa has no specific dates)
Cedar county: "Enumeration Date: July 1, 1852"
Jones county: "Enumeration Date: July 5-26, 1852"
Hopefully this will help you narrow things down a bit.
