Alvina Papacek was married to Frank Downing. Frank was my Great Grandmother's brother. Caroline was Alvina's daughter before Frank and her wed. When Alvina got sick she made out a will before she passed leaving guardianship of Caroline to I believe her parents. Frank was left to raise their daughter, Ester, who was very young at the time. Frank's mother, Mary (Bonzar) Downing basically took her in and raised her. Ester later died in a car accident if I remember right. I have a copy of Downing Family History book that has been in the family and that is one of the stories under Frank. If you would like I can look through and get you a copy of the story.
