Knickerbocker/Whitsell Descendents

KNICKERBOCKER, WHITSELL, ALLEN, IVES

Several children, and grandchildren, of Peter and Mary Knickerbocker/Knickerbacker moved from Potter County, Pennsylvania to Clayton County, Iowa in the early to mid-1860’s.

I would love to make contact with descendents of:
Harvey & Melissa (Knickerbocker) Allen
Henry & Mary (_) Knickerbocker
Amasa & Matilda (Ives) Knickerbocker
Hiram & Anna (Waters/Walers) Knickerbocker

My branch of the family, James Whitsell/Wetzel & Sena Knickerbocker (daughter of Henry and Mary), lived in Iowa for about 26 years. Then for unknown reasons returned to Potter and Clearfield Counties in approximately the spring of 1890 with their family of seven children ranging in age from newborn to age 19.

Her father, John Anderson Whitsell, always told my grandmother that she had a ½ brother and sister living in Iowa. These children would have been born between 1885 and 1889.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

I have located many obituaries of family members on this site, so believe there are likely still cousins in the Clayton area.
