Mr. Ellsworth A. Alderson son of John and Susanah Carpenter Alderson was born in Cox Creek
Twp Clayton county, Iowa on September 7, 1891.

He received his education in the rural schools.

On June 2nd, 1926 he was united in marriage to Grace Stahl by the Rev. C. H. Franke pastor of
Peace Church in Elkader. Their home was blessed with two daughters.

Mr. Alderson farmed on the home place for the 10 years before he moved to Strawberry Point in
1936. After moving to Strawberry Point he worked as a carpenter. He was a veteran of World
War I. He was baptized into the Christian faith at Peace Church in Elkader.

A life time resident of Clayton County he will remain dear not only to the members of his family and relatives, but to all his neighbors and friends as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Grace of Strawberry Point, two daughters, Leone, Mrs. Kenneth Dopp of Oelwein, Iowa and Shirley, Mrs. Charles Kuehl of Halltown, Mo. He is survived by one brother Miles Alderson of Strawberry Point and 7 grandchildren also several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Alderson who had experienced failing health for some time had been a patient at Delaware
County Memorial Hospital in Manchester when he passed away on October 9 at the age of 78
years, 1 month and 2 days. Services were held at the Witt Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11.
