Last Rites For Lillie Alderson, Aug. 19, 1970, Services were held at the United Methodist Church
Wednesday August 19, 1970, at 11 a.m. for Lillian Jane Alderson. Meditation was given by the
Rev. Francis Shreve. Burial was at the Strawberry Point cemetery.Lillie Alderson, daughter of Richard and Hanna Simpson Alderson was born March 9, 1889. She
lived all of her life in and around Strawberry Point. On February 3, 1908 she was united in marriage to Ray L. Alderson, from this union four children were born.She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed being a
housewife and her favorite interests were cooking and cleaning.The last two a half years of her life were spent at the Lutheran Home, where she passed away on
August 17, 1970.Mrs. Alderson was preceded in death by her husband, one son, father, mother, two brothers and
four sisters.Survivors include two sons Wayne R. Alderson and Melvin L. Alderson, both from Strawberry
Point, one daughter Maxine A. Quinn of Elkader, three grandsons, two step-grandsons and 12 great
