Stanley L. Ferguson of Cedar Rapids died Sept. 21 at Cedar Rapids Mercy Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Monona. He worked for the Postal Service for 28 years, retiring in 1982. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He married Ellen Canoe on January 4, 1953 in Cedar Rapids. She survives along with three sons: Steven of Denver, Co. and Kevin and Daniel, both of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Szabo of Castalia, and five grandchildren.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Hanford Post 5 of the American Legion and the VFW.
Services were held Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Murdoch-Linwood Chapel. Rev. Charles Mehaffey officiated. Burial was in the Monona Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Monona American Legion Post.
