Guttenberg Press, Feb. 1970...Murry Emmett Harbaugh, son of Edith Hansel and Jefferson Harbaugh was born March 7, 1906 near Garber, Iowa and passed away at Memorial Hospital Manchester, Iowa on Feb. 17, 1970.
His entire life was spent on a farm near Garber. He attended the Studebaker and the Elkport High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon and Ernest; one sister, Mahalia Ridenour. He is survived by sisters, Mrs. Bert (Jessie) Elledge Sr. of Edgewood, Ia. and Mrs. LaVern (Edith) Thein of Strawberry Point, Ia. Three brothers, Ezra of Strawberry Point, Iowa, Malcom of Dubuque, Iowa and Waymon of Marion, Iowa and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Services were held Feb. 20, 1970 from the Appleton Funeral Home by the Rev. Clarence Gillett. Realto Wold sang "Beyond the Sunset' accompanied by Mrs. Gladys Holthaus.
Casket bearers were Howard, Keith and Ivan Harbaugh, Lowell Elledge, Eugene and Melvin Ridenour. Interment was in the Hansel Cemetery.
