Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Roland A. Bulman of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Friday July 19, 1985 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 23 at Roberson Funeral Chapel in Strawberry Point with the Rev. Parler officiating. Pallbearers were his 6 grandsons and burial was in the Strawberry Point, Iowa cemetery with full military rites.
Roland was born January 7, 1911 in English Bench, Allamakee County, Iowa, a son of Joseph G. and Bina (Lavelle) Bulman. He was educated in the rural schools of Allamakee County. He was a World War II veteran. He farmed in Allamakee County, Littleport and Strawberry Point, Iowa ares in Clayton County. He was married to Mary Faust on September 30, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eldon Bulman and George Bulman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; 4 sons, Pat Bulman and Ricky Bulman of Horicon, Wisconsin, Mike Bulman of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Roland Bulman, Jr. of Dickeyville, Wisconsin; 1 daughter, Mrs. Duane (Roxy) Schroder of Livingston, Wisconsin and one step-daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Harriet) Burgin of Strawberry Point, Iowa; 9 grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald Bulman of Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
