FRANK W. SMITH- OBITUARY
Frank W. Smith, son of George and Eliza Smith, was born near Red Oak in Montgomery Co., Iowa Jan 12, 1875 and died at his home near County Corners in Buchanan Co., Iowa May 2, 1932.
In 1882 he moved with his parents to Norfork, Neb., where he grew up and lived until 1897 when he came to this part of Iowa. In 1904, on Jan. 27th he was united in marriage to Miss Grace Belle Dunsmoor in Strawberry Point. Living on farms until 24 years ago, they moved to the present home where they have since lived.
To this union were born five children of whom the first daughter died in infancy. Those living are Mrs. Erma Medearis of Waterloo, Eva, George and Wayne at home. Besides his wife and four children he leaves three brothers and two sisters, Fred Smith of Norfork, Neb., R. C. Smith of Arlington, Iowa, Wm., H. Smith of Gregory, South Dakota, Mrs. Frank Kapach of Norfork, Neb., and Mrs. James Deuel of County Corners.
Funeral Services were held at the County Corners church Thursday p.m. at 2 o’clock conducted by Rev. T. J. Elwick of Strawberry Point. Interment was at County Corners cemetery. The casket bearers were Wm. Sager, A. J. Bush, Wm. Linderwell, Henry Allenstein, Charles Dozark, and Wm. Hosier.
