White Rites Are Held on Wednesday - Aged Woman Died Monday at Age of 88 -
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Bethel church for Mrs. Carson White who died on Monday (Nov. 29, 1948) at the age of eighty-eight and one-half years.
The service at the church were conducted by Rev. W. F. Domres, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church with the burial in the Bethel cemetery in charge of the Beerman funeral home. Pallbearers for the services were Wilbur Cerny, Clifford Hemphill, Russell Palmer, Cedric Hansel, Paul Wells and Leo Hansel.
Mrs. Elvina White, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mueters, was born June 15, 1860, in Guttenberg. On July 3, 1877 she was married to Carson White at Glen Haven, Wisconsin.
For the past three years she has been making her home here with her daughter Mrs. Grace Mallory.
Mrs. White is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grace Mallory and Mrs. Hazel Burnham, both of Guttenberg. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Pauline Bovee of Oak Harbor, Washington. She was preceded in death by Mr. Mallory and three children.The Guttenberg Press, Dec. 2, 1948.
