Garrettson Rites held - Funeral Services for Colesburg Man Saturday

Colesburg - Funeral services were held from the Fariview church Saturday afteroon for Cleveland Garrettson, 58. The rites were conducted by Rev. Floyd R. Maynard of Colesburg and burial was in the Brown cemetery.

Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Clarke Shaffer and Mrs. Myrtle Lane.

Mr. Garrettson died January 6, 1949 following a long period of poor health. He was born September 13, 1890 in Elk township and spent his life on the home farm.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and David, and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Hansel. Three nephews and one niece survive.

Among the relatives from out of town attending the services included Mrs. Emily Garrettson of Manchester, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Garrettson of Dundee, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Garrettson of Oelwein, Mr. ad Mrs. Albert Webber of Garber, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansel of Greeley, Ia.
