Mrs. Gurine Kjosa, a daughter of Knut and Sidsel Houg, was born Dec. 07, 1877. She died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Will Bergan, Jan. 01, 1952. She was baptized and confirmed in the Marion Lutheran church and resuded in the community most of her life.

In 1902 she was married to Thov Kjosa. To them were born six children, Kenneth, Lena (Mrs. Will Bergan), Lewis, of Marion township, Joseph, of Elgin, Grace (Mrs. Clarence Anderson, of St. Olaf, Stella (Mrs. Glen Larson) of Elkader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and three brothers. She is survived by her six children, 16 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Caroline Kjosa of Farmersburg, many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Marion Lutheran church, Friday, Jan. 04, with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating.

Pallbearers were: Thomas and Clarence Peterson, Millard and Verni Houg, Lorimer Fuelling and Donald Houg.
