Knud Knudson, 78, died suddenly at his home in Monona Thursday evening, Dec. 20. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Monona funeral home to the Norway Lutheran church with the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating. Pallbearers were: John Reidel, Glen Crain, Ole Embretson, Art Crary, A. J. Larson and Orvin Embretson.
Knud H. Knudson was born in Farmersburg, May 15, 1873, son of Martha Tovson and Herbran Knudson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Norway church and received his education in the Farmersburg school. He later attended Iowa State Teachers college and taught school for several years.
April 21, 1917, he was united in marriage to Geneva Embretson. They settled on the old home farm in Wagner township where they lived for several years. Later they moved to St. Olaf where they operated a grocery store. The last years they have resided in Monona where he died.
Survivors are his wife, one brother Henry Knudson of St. Olaf. His father, mother and one sister preceded him in death.
