Mrs. Katherine Buchheim, daughter of F. W. Seifert, was born Aug. 03, 1887 at Clayton Center, Iowa, and died in Chicago, Ill., Saturday, Feb. 12, of a heart attack.

She received her education in the rural schools of Clayton county.

The deceased was united in marriage Nov. 17, 1904 to John Buchheim at Clayton Center, Iowa. Mr. Buchheim died April 26, 1928.

Two children survive her, Mrs. Alice Seeland and Allison Buchheim, both of Elkader, one sister, Mrs. George (Laura) Glawe, and three brothers, Fred, Otto, and Ernie Seifert; five grandchildren, Eugene Seeland, Oelwein; Mrs. Harlan (Virginia) Sober, Chicago, Ill., Mrs. James (Marilyn) Stramel, Cedar Rapids, Benny Buchheim and Richard Buchheim of Elkader; two great-grandchildren, Cindy Lou and Cathy Jo Sober of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1955 at Clayton Center, Iowa, with the Rev. Zerhusen officiating. Burial was in Clayton Center cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Erwin Breitsprecher, Eldo Wilke, Herbert Mueller, Harley Kalke, Eldo Meyer and Lawrence Glawe.
