Funeral services were held Monday morning for Mrs. James H. Henry, the former Laura Belle Carpenter, who died in San Antonio, Nov. 11, at the age of 64 years. Born Sept. 27, 1889, in Cox Creek township, she was the daughter of John and Olive Whipple Carpenter. On Dec. 26, 1912 she was married to James H. Henry in Strawberry Point and they lived the greater part of their life in Iowa and Wisconsin, with their present home being in Hinsdale, Ill. Mrs. Henry was a member of the Catholic church and the RNA lodge.
Preceded in death by her parents, one son and one sister, she is survived by her husband, James H. Henry of Hinsdale, Ill., her daughter, Mrs. E. B. (Katherine) Reese, also of Hinsdale, Ill.; two sons, John of Detroit, Mich. and James of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Farmer of Strawberry Point and Mrs. Sadie Luense of Lyle, Minn., and two brothers, Alva Carpenter of Stockton, Ill., and Del Carpenter of Strawberry Point.
The Rev. Father Robert Palen was the officiating clergyman at the mass said at St. Mary's Catholic church here Monday morning. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery here.
