Mrs. Johannah Scofield, 80, of Strawberry Point, died at her home here Thursday morning at about 1:30 a.m. after a brief illness. Born Sept. 27, 1873, in Winneshiek county, Iowa, she was the daughter of Frederick and Margaret Rice Einwalter. On Nov. 08, 1905, she was married to Guy H. Scofield at Fort Atkinson, Iowa. The Scofield's operated a general store here for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, seven brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her three children, George of Elkader, and twin daughters, Dorothy and Margaret of Strawberry Point, one granddaughter and one sister, Mrs. Mary White.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gill chapel with the Rev. Wayne L. Carlson, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Interment was at the Strawberry Point cemetery.
