Clayton County Register, 11 Jan. 1945.

STRAWBERRY POINT: William F. Rodies, 62, died Thursday at Mercy hospital, Oelwein. He was born March 26, 1882 in Buchanan county, Iowa. He was married to Alice McKimm who died several years ago.

Surviving is a son Howard Rodies of Sacramento, Calif. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. H. B. O'Neil Sunday afternoon. Dr. R. W. Dutton sang accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Kramer. Burial was in the Strawberry Point cemetery.
