Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the First Evangelical Lutheran church for Mrs. Ernest Eggen, 54, who died suddenly early Saturday morning at her farm home. The services were conducted by the Rev. O. R. Haugstul with burial in the Norwegian cemetery.
Margaret Halverson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Halverson, was born in Clayton township and has lived in the Swede Ridge neighborhood, where her parents were pioneer residents, all her life except for a short time in North Dakota. She was married in 1915 to Ernest Eggen, who survives her with their four children, Mrs. Don Everhart of Hollydale, Calif., Merle Eggen of the U.S.N. at Camden, N.J., Robert and Olga at home. Also surviving are four brothers, Henry Halverson, Fargo, N. Dak., Eric Halverson, McGregor, Albert Halverson, Clayton and John Halverson, Port Orchard, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Ole Allen, Elkader, Mrs. Theodore Kyllo, Fargo, N. Dak., and Mrs. Anna Bruckner, Rockford, Ill., and one grandchild, Diane Everhart.
