Clayton County Register, 04 Nov. 1943.
Services were held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Howard Taylor home for Robert Lee Taylor, 11-day-old infant son of Pvt. and Mrs. Robert Taylor, who died Wednesday at the Mercy hospital, Oelwein.
The Rev. D. V. Butler, Methodist minister, had charge of the brief service.
Surviving are the parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Taylor, Volga City, and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nelson, Freemont, Nebr. Burial was in Hill Crest cemetery.
