George Rudolph Minger died at 8:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 09, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Borrett, at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was born Nov. 19, 1860 at Millville, Iowa. In 1884 he was married to Elizabeth Tindell. They had seven children: Mrs. Nelson (Elsie) White, Clayton; Mrs. James (Lottie) Borrett, Garber; Mrs. Charlie (Mabel) Ferris, Guttenberg; Jessie E. Welsh, Detroit, Mich.; Ray A. Minger, Medford, Ore.; Roy G. Minger, Sheraton, B.C., Canada; Mrs. Nettie Johnson, who preceded him in death.
He married Ethel Patrick, June 26, 1912. They had one son, Carl D. Minger, and an infant son who preceded him in death.
He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, Turkey River, Mrs. Ella White and Mrs. Susie Kinyon of Guttenberg; our brothers, John, Charlie and Henry Minger, Turkey River, and Frank Minger, Guttenberg; 35 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Goshen. Pallbearers were Roy Kinyon, Howard Kinyon, Leslie and Edward White, Russell and Raymond Borrett, grandsons of Mr. Minger.
