Michael Morris, age 78, died Monday at Mercy hospital, Oelwein. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Morris, born at Janesville, Wis., July 06, 1865. He was married in 1910 to Cecelia Meyer. She died April 27, 1923.

Surviving are three children: two sons in the armed forces, James at Salt Lake City and Lawrence in Idaho, and a daughter, Maxine, at home; also a brother, Thomas of Strawberry Point.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, with burial at Sacred Heart cemetery, Cox Creek.
