Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home to Garnavillo with the Rev. Hackbarth officiating.

Minnie Sophia Peuker, daughter of Fred Pohlman and Sophia Madleman was born on November 30, 1884, at New Albin, Iowa, and died suddenly Saturday morning, July 17, at 12:30 a.m. She had reached the age of 58 years, seven months and 18 days.

She was united in marriage to John Peuker in Volga township on December 23, 1907.

She came to Elkport in 1906 and had lived here since. Mrs. Peuker was manager of the Elkport hotel.

Those who mourn her sudden departure are her bereaved husband, one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Tschirgi of Strawberry Point, one son Paul of Elkport, two sisters, Mrs. Chas. (Anna) Peuker, Garber, and Mrs. Caroline Krzeb__tke of New Albin two brothers Wm Pohnman of Garber and John Pohnman of New Albin, also six grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by a daughter who died in infancy, two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers were John Hendricks, John Dannenbring Emil Zittergruen, Fred Voss Alfred Waterman and Albert Jaster.
