Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23, at 2 o'clock in the Zions Lutheran church at Clayton Center for Mrs. Anna Seeman, 75, with the Rev. D. A. Flesner, local pastor, officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Seeman died Saturday, May 22, at her home in Clayton Center following an illness of two weeks.
She was the eldest daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. F. W. Seifert and was born in the old parsonage of the Zions Lutheran church at Clayton Center, February 22, 1868. Following her marriage to Reinhold F. Seeman on October 24, 1889, she lived in Germantown and Lincoln, Neb., and San Antonio, Texas. In 1895 she returned to Clayton Center, which has since been her home.
Surviving are one son, Fred C, Seeman of Clayton Center, four sisters, Mrs. Amelia Vogt and Mrs. Laura Glawe, both of Farmersburg, Mrs. Katie Buchheim of Clayton Center, Mrs. Sophia Zahrndt of Elkader; and three brothers, Fred and Otto Seifert of Clayton Center, and Ernest F. Seifert of Elkader.
Pallbearers were Earl Seifert, Theodore Glawe, Carl Breitsprecher, Julius Mentzel, Harold Seifert and Allison Buchheim.
