Mrs. Charles Wheeler of McGregor died at the New Sanitarium at Prairie du Chien, Wis., at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted from the Pilkington funeral home at ten o'clock Thursday morning with burial at Edgewood.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her husband, Charles Wheeler of McGregor, one daughter, Mrs. Lyle Thorton of Bloomington, Wis., a son, Cecil Wheeler of Des Moines, one sister, Mrs. Harold Jewell of Elkader, and a half-brother, Alf Tibbott of Greeley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles E. Wheeler were held at the Pilkington Funeral Home Thursday, with the Rev. Dwight E. Webster, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was at Edgewood.
Mrs. Wheeler died Tuesday at the Prairie du Chien Sanitarium, following a long illness.
Mable Jane Wheeler, daughter of Winnifred and Melanthan Thomas, was born March 8, 1878 at Ebensburg, Pa. A few years later the family moved to Greeley. On September 14, 1898 she married Mr. Wheeler. They came to McGregor in 1919.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Cecil of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Lyle Thornton of Bagley, Wis.; one sister, Mrs. Harold Jewel of Elkader; a half-brother, Alfred Tibbot of Greeley; and seven grandchildren.
