Louis Clinton Hansel, son of George and Betha Hansel, was born July 2_, 1921, on a farm in Clayton county near Garber. He grew to manhood in this county, was educated in the rural schools and practiced farming all is life.
His death occurred on Wednesday, May 05, at the University hospital at Iowa City, where he had been rushed the preceding day following an accident near his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, who died December 22, 1937, also a brother who died in infancy.
He leaves to mourn his sudden death, his mother, three sisters, Mrs. Ver_ O'Connor (Elva) of Dyersville, Mrs. Anton Smith (Gladys) of Garber, Mrs. Russell Brown (Irene) of Colesburg, two brothers, Russell of Menasha, Wis., and Merlin of Dyersville, also other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Michael's church at Garber with the Rev. Father H. N. Ginter officiating. Burial was in the Mount Harmony cemetery.
Pallbearers were Eugene Krieg, George Kriebs, Mark Bowman, Lloyd Rentschler, Lorraine Thein and Donald Scheffert.
