A. C. Atkins, a veteran of World War I, died in Chicago Tuesday morning following an illness of several years. He had been critically ill for the past year. Funeral services will be held at the Congregational Christian church here Saturday. Friends may call at the Witt funeral chapel all day Friday and Saturday morning.

Mr. Atkins formerly operated the hotel barber shop in Elkader, leaving here in 1926. His wife is the former Mabel Stebor.
