Clayton County Register, 06 Nov. 1947.

The infant son born Tuesday, Nov. 04, to Mr. and Mrs. Julian Koons (Dorothy Berse) at Elkader, was buried Wednesday in Sacred Heart cemetery in Volga. Besides the parents, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Berse of Volga, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Koons of Elkader, survive.
