Funeral services for Oscar Meisner, 52, were held from the home at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon to the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church at two o'clock. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Mr. Meisner died suddenly Saturday morning, October 18, of a heart attack at his country home south of Elkader.

Oscar Paul Meisner, son of Ed Meisner, was born in Boardman township, Clayton county, Iowa, on October 05, 1895, where he spent his entire life. He received his education in the Elkader public school. After two years of high school he remained at home to help his father on the farm.

On October 20, 1927 he was married to Florence Noel, in the Little Brown church at Nashua. In 19_8 they moved to the farm which has since been their home. Mr. Meisner was a confirmed member of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son, Virginia Rose attending college at Edmund, Okla., Elinor, a senior in Elkader high school, Noel and Faith attending the rural school near their home; his step-mother, Mrs. Gusta Meisner, a sister, Mrs. Art Masters Dubuque; and one brother, Otto, of Zwingle, Iowa.

His father preceded him in death in 1942.

Pallbearers were: A. C. Storbeck, ____ Smith, Charles Cords, Harold ____ ___rose Whittle and Wm. _____.

Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Virginia Meisner, Edmond, Okla.; Monroe Noel. Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Roy Brown, Edmond, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Meisner, Zwingle, Iowa; Mrs. Amanda McSperrin and Mrs. Mary Kemp, Dubuque; Mrs. Irwin Cornish, Hawkeye; Mr. and Mrs. Eathen Guyer, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Vic Guyer, Clermont; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Guyer, Osterdock; Max Guyer, Guttenberg; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Guyer, West Union, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Scheffert, Monona.
