Mrs. R. D. White, nee Ida Mary Eppens, died at her home here Monday morning July 21 at the age of 76 years, two months and 30 days. Mrs. White had been in failing health for a number of years.

She was born in Guttenberg, May 01, 1871, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eppens. She attended the Guttenberg public school.

On January 01, 1900, she was married to Royce DeVille White of Postville. They resided at Postville until 1902. In that year they moved to a farm near Volga where they lived until 192_. They then moved to Volga, where the deceased spent the remainder of her life.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Walter of Waterloo, and Robert of Allison, one daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Erma) Sanford of Fort Dodge, three grandchildren, and three sisters, Miss Emma Eppens and Mrs. Carl Ihm, both of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Fred Fonda of Gable, Wis.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Services were held Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church with the Rev. _. _. _____, pastor, in charge. Music was provided by C. W. Kohls and A. D. Ku__m__, accompanied by Leo Gret__ at the piano. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery in Volga.

Casket bearers were John Fol_on, Fred Gern_nd, Don Le_t_, Harry Rinkert, James Whitford, and _. _. Whitford.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Fred Fonda, Gable, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ihm, Miss Emma Eppens, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Blake, Mrs. Jessie Freiburger, and Mrs. Mar_ Hennesey, Guttenberg, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gifford, Elkader, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Leucht____, Dubuque, Mrs. Lura Hanson, Mrs. Lo_ Hanson and Mrs. Howard Hanson, Waukon, Mrs. Arthu_ O'Brien, Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sanford, Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Walter White, Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Robert White, Allison, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Minihan, _. _. and _ren_ Minihan, Elgin, Mr. and Mrs. Georg_ Jarde_ and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morris, Oelwein.
