STRAWBERRY POINT: Clarence B. Moser, 54, died at his home in Cedar Rapids Wednesday evening after a lingering illness. The son of Rudolph and Anna Kurrelmeyer Moser, he was born Dec. 24, 1892, at Greeley. On Feb. 16, 1921, he was married in Chicago to Nellie Easton of Strawberry Point. They lived in Strawberry Point until moving to Cedar Rapids in December, 1942, where he was employed by the LaPlante Choate manufacturing company.
He was a member of the Methodist church, the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion, Strawberry Point lodge No. 130 A.F. & A.M., all of Strawberry Point, Palestine Council No. 27, R. and S.M., Trowel chapter No. 49, R.A.M., and the Eagles, all of Cedar Rapids. For several years he was postmaster of Strawberry Point, and served as welfare director of Delaware county for many years.
Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Mervin Huebner of Cedar Rapids, a grandson, his mother, Anna Moser of Strawberry Point, three brothers, Walter of Bangor, Mich., Floyd of Farmersburg, and Harold of Louisville, Ky., three sisters, Mrs. Richard Homewood of Strawberry Point, Mrs. Carl W. Buls and Mrs. Ted Hill, both of Cedar Rapids.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. R. Park Anderson. Piano music was furnished by Mrs. Lloyd Kramer. Active casket bearers were Jack Matthews, George Dunfrund, Don Courtnage, Louie Schmidt, Con Kleinlein, and Ben Kleinlein. Honorary bearers were E. H. Christenson, G. H. Taylor, Henry Hausman, Robert Killen, Norman Hammond, and Robert Kirkman. Burial was here.
Military and Masonic services were conducted at the graveside.
