Edward William Moser, 50, died Tuesday night at his home after a long illness. Son of Jacob and Katherine Hemann Moser, he was born at Osterdock, August 16, 1896. On Jan. 20, 1921, he was married to Mary Schaffer at Strawberry Point. They farmed until moving of Strawberry Point three and one-half years ago.
Survivors are the widow, two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Baldridge, Strawberry Point and Juanita Moser, Elkader, and a brother, Albert Moser of Strawberry Point. His parents and three sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon in the Emanuel Lutheran church by the Rev. S. J. Meyer. A veteran of World War I, he was given a military escort, and military services were conducted at the grave.
Casket bearers were Elmer Fredrick, Walter Fredrick, Wilbur Fenton, Ben Kleinlein, Albert Opperman and Tom Olson. Burial was in Strawberry Point cemetery.
