Funeral services for William Allen Nading, 53, were held at the family home near Littleport Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Paul Kitterer of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church of Elkader officiated. Burial was in the Union cemetery near Littleport.

Mr. Nading suffered a stroke Tuesday. Following another stroke Wednesday his condition became alarming and he was removed to the hospital at Manchester where he died that same evening, May 15.

William Allen Nading, son of Jasper and Emeline Nading, was born in Cox Creek township, March 27, 1894. He received his education in the schools in the vicinity. He was married to Miss Ida Sylvester at Manchester, February 26, 1920. His entire life was spent in farming in the vicinity where he was born. A veteran of World War I, he served 10 months overseas.

Surviving are his wife and one son, Harlan; six brothers and four sisters; namely, Clarence of the veterans' hospital at Knoxville; Mrs. Herman Nightengale, Littleport; Charley, Carl, George, Donald and Mrs. Charley Hubbard, all of Mederville; Mrs. Harry Evert and Mrs. Dick Hines, both of Dundee, and Virgil Nading, Strawberry Point. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leonard.
