Strawberry Point: Mrs. Mary Zwanziger, 90, died at her home here Monday. As Mary Weger, she was born Jan. 28, 1857, at Sherril's Mound, and came to this community when a small child. On May 07, 1874, she was married to Herman Zwanziger. They farmed in the St. Sebald community until retiring. Mr. Zwanziger died in 1925. Mrs. Zwanziger and daughters moved to their present home in Strawberry Point in 1937. Surviving are three children, Carl, Frieda and Lena, all of Strawberry Point; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one brother, George Weger, and two half-brothers, John and Gottlieb Weger, all of Strawberry Point; a half-sister, Mrs. Lena Wuest of Martensdale; a step-brother, John Reck of Juneau, Alaska.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the St. Sebald Lutheran church conducted by her pastor, the Rev. H. E. Hahn. Casket bearers were her grandsons, Alvin, Raymond, Walter, Ernest and Otto Zwanziger and a grandson-in-law, Herbert Andrea. Burial was in the St. Sebald cemetery.
