Volga: Ruth Louise Page was born in Vermillion, S.Dak., June 27, 1920, and died April 14, 1947, at the age of 26 years, 9 months and 17 days. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Page. She moved with her parents to Wisconsin and later to California, where her father died on Dec. 11, 1926. The next spring she came with her mother and brothers to her mother's home town of Volga. Here she attended the public school and graduated with the class of 1938.
She was baptized and became a member of the Volga Presbyterian church. On Sept. 06, 1941, she was united in marriage to Marvin Carter at Montivideo, Minn. One child, Dennis, was born to them.
