Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Winch, who died at her home in Littleport Saturday, April 05, following a long illness, were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Littleport Tuesday, April 08. The Rev. Father F. J. McEnany officiated. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery at Littleport.
Pallbearers were: J. P. Zapf, H. H. Liddy, John Leonard, Joe Meyer, Lorain Thein and William Refle.
Wilhelmina Scheffert was born at Garnavillo, August 05, 1884, the daughter of John and Anna Scheffert. She was a life-long resident of Clayton county. She was married to Louis Winch at Elkport on February 18, 1903. Their entire married life was spent in or near Littleport. Mrs. Winch was a member of the Sacred Heart church of Littleport and also a member of the Royal Neighbors of Ameica.
She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Joe L. Berns of Epworth, and one son, Sylvester V. Winch of Grand Canyon, Ariz.; also one sister, Mrs. H. A. Zapf of Garnavillo, and one brother, Frank Scheffert of Garber; and eight grandchildren.
