Mrs. Mabel Holly was born April 20, 1885, in Monona township. She was the daughter of Wm. and Anna Moon and was the oldest of seven children, three sisters and four brothers. She moved with her parents from Monona township to a farm in Wagner township where she attended church and Sunday school at the Goodin church. She was married Dec. 31, 1912, to Joe Holly of Monona. They set up housekeeping east of Monona for four years. Then they moved to Farmersburg where they remained to the present time. About four months ago her health began to fail and four weeks ago she was taken to Iowa City hospital where she died Wednesday morning Feb. 05.

Surviving her are her husband, and one sister, Mrs. Fred Ruckdaschel and four brothers, Leo of Bagley, Wis.; Ira, Gus and Herb all of Farmersburg. Also many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, also one sister, Mrs. Jesse Jones.
