Funeral services were conducted here at St. Mary's Catholic church Tuesday morning, Jan. 14, for Gernon Ivory of Clinton who was killed Friday when struck by a train. Burial was made in Strawberry Point cemetery.
Son of Joe and Annie Quinn Ivory, he was born at Strawberry Point 34 years ago. After leaving here the family moved to Elkader, and the past several years has lived in Clinton. He was in service four years, two years overseas.
Survivors are his mother, five brothers, Donald, Gerald and Law_____ all of Clinton; Stephen of Lamont, and Carol, a major in the Air Corps; and three sisters, Mrs. Gerald Pugh of Strawberry Point; Mrs. Archie Whitman of Fairmont, Minn., and Mrs. Mark Murphy of Austin, Minn.
